Tesla Care

  • A professional device for treating incontinence and other issues in the pelvic floor area.
  • During therapy, the patient is fully dressed, sitting comfortably.
  • Based on Functional magnetic stimulation (FMS).
  • Strengthens the pelvic floor muscles and other weakenedmuscles.
  • Remarkable healing effects achieved by a strong electromagnetic field.
  • Noninvasive and painless therapy.
  • Simple therapy that does not require special patientpreparation.
  • Adjustable signal frequency, intensity and shape through an LCD touchscreen.
  • Wide selection of preset programs and the possibility of entering a large number of custom programs.

The Tesla Care device was developed for treating weakened pelvic floor muscles and urinary incontinence by using the special Functional Magnetic Stimulation (FMS) technology. The pulsed magnetic field generated by the device causes the muscles of the pelvic floor to contract. This therapy is suitable for all kinds of urinary and fecal incontinence. It significantly improve rehabilitation process after surgery in the urogenital area and after childbirth. FMS also helps patients with sexual dysfunction and chronic pain in the pelvic region and lumbar spine. The effect of the magnetic stimulation is in increased strength and endurance of the sphincter and pelvic floor muscles. During stimulation, the patient focuses on the awareness of the muscle contractions, making it much simpler to learn how to actively perform the exercises.

The therapy also has a positive effect on sexual relations, erections, the ability to achieve orgasm and the active contracting of groin and gluteal muscles.

  • Urge urinary incontinence
  • Stress urinary incontinence
  • Mixed urinary incontinence
  • Incontinence after radical prostatectomy
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Regeneration after childbirth
  • Milder forms of drooping uterus and bladder

(cystocele, descensus uteri)

  • Rehabilitation after pelvic floor surgery
  • Chronic prostate inflammation
  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Treatment is simple and doesn’t require prior patient preparation.
  • During therapy, the patient is fully dressed, sitting comfortably.
  • During stimulation, the patient focuses on the awareness of the muscle contractions, a simple way to learn how to actively perform the exercises simple and effective way.
  • The treatment is noninvasive, painless and with no known side effects.
  • Improvement can be expected after just a few sessions.
  • Treatment is done two to three times per week, for twenty minutes.
  • Treatment program is decided after a consultation and physical examination by specialist doctor for each patient individually, depending on their symptoms and diagnose.

Involuntary, uncontrolled urination or urinary incontinence appears when sphincters, muscles of the pelvic floor and the bladder muscles do not function correctly or synchronously, because they are either too weak or overly active. This common and unpleasant problem affects people of both sexes and all ages.

In young women, the most common type of incontinence is stress incontinence. Urine leaks through an otherwise undamaged urethra. The main cause is the reduced function of the muscles of the pelvic floor, causing, in turn, a weakened closing mechanism of the urinary bladder.

Older women more often have a problem with urge incontinence, where urine leaks after an urgent need to urinate as the consequence of an overly active urinary bladder. The patients need to use the toilet more than eight times a day, the need to urinate even makes them get up two or more times a night.

Especially many older female patients face a combination of stress and urge incontinence, named mixed urinary incontinence. Strengthening and speedier regeneration of the pelvic floor muscles through functional magnetic stimulation is a replacement or enhancement to the better-known electrical stimulation for incontinence treatment. Using excorporal magnetic stimulation noticeably strengthens up the pelvic floor muscles within the first three or four weeks of treatment, without the unpleasant insertion of electrodes.Treatment is performed two or three times a week for 20 minutes per session and a total of 16 treatments. Since there is no direct skin contact, there is no pain, unpleasantness or any known side effects.

In June 1998, even the strict American FDA approved functional magnetic stimulation as a method of conservative treatment for urinary incontinence.

The graph below shows the results of therapy using functional magnetic stimulation after 16 treatment sessions. The results were collected in three independent centers with 160 female patients.

36 women were treated for urge urinary incontinence (UUI), 42 women were treated for mixed urinary incontinence (MUI), 61 women were treated for stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and 21 women were treated for urinary incontinence after childbirth.

The treatments were performed in the ZZZ-Štrumbelj Private medical institute (Tadeja Štrumbelj, dr. med.), the Podnar Medical center (Polona Podnar, dr. med.) and the Zdravka Koman Mežek

Private medical institute for gynecology and obstetrics (Zdravka Koman Mežek, dr. med.).

There are three different chair models that are used to treat incontinence and other problems related to pelvic

floor area and spine. With the two channel chair we can treat both areas alternately in the same session.

The Tesla Care device can be upgraded using a handheld applicator, intended for use in physical medicine and

rehabilitation (TESLA Stym device):

  • The therapist can perform the treatment manually, using the FMS handle or by securing the applicator to the body;
  • By moving the applicator manually, we can quickly locate muscle trigger points and effectively perform selective stimulation;
  • The magnetic field affects all the tissue under the applicator;
  • Exceptionally effective for a wide array of indications in physical medicine and rehabilitation;
  • Two applicator sizes are available.
